Looking for a team building activity, a family outing or even a date idea! Look no further than Prison Island. No honestly. I was there last night for the 2nd time and it was just as good as the first time I visited for my brother’s birthday!
It’s the Belfast Crystal Maze
With 25 challenging rooms, all filled with different activities requiring technique, skill and brain power there is a little bit of something for everyone! Get your team name ready and prepare to face Prison Island.
From rooms filled with exercise balls, to musical memory challenges, rock climbing and math questions. Secret buttons, teamwork, music to match the atmosphere and timers are only a few of the things you will experience throughout your time in Prison Island!
Teams at the ready!
With a minimum of 2 people per team and max of 4 the competition is on, with scoreboards around the maze pitting you against the other teams of the day. You can check in on these regularly as well as revisit any of the 25 rooms multiple times to keep stacking up your points.
The staff have always been fantastic, from the de-briefing to always being nearby to ask any questions or give hints or tips on how you may be able to beat a room! The rooms themselves are brilliant with a real crystal maze feeling. I think the concept is just fantastic.
Covid-19 Guidelines in Place
The café is unfortunately not opening during this time, but Prison Island have ensured that social distancing is in place, with booking your appointment beforehand, lockers available for any precious items, hand sanitizer stations throughout and face coverings required while you are walking around (you are able to remove them when you are in the rooms).
I would highly recommend Prison Island for your next activity, located on Boucher road just beside the old B&Q building, you have plenty of eating places nearby as well as shops available at the local retail parks
