It’s a wonder that I was able to scrape together a solid July favourites list for this month, or even just a list in general! I change my mind so often that I wasn’t sure if I would be able to pick even one of my favourite items this month because there have been so many!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – I know that everyone and their mother has raved about this product, but before this month I had never used it before. Collection is one of my favourite brands for my foundation (which at the moment seems to always be sold out) and with youtubers such as Zoella, Katie Snooks and Tanya Burr listing it numerous times in their favourites I thought it was finally time to give it a go. Safe to safe that immediately after using this product my others went straight into the bin! It is so soft, smooth and easily applicable. It gives my face a slight glow after applied and covers up my blemishes and redness evenly. I went for the porcelain shade as my skin is quite pale, and apply it under my eyes around my nose and on my T-Zone.
Next Cashmere Eau De Parfum – My mum had bought me this as a present during the Next Sale and kept it over for me for my holidays. This Eau De Parfum is a perfect hand-bag size and is perfect for taking in hand luggage at only 75ml. There are a variety of these Eau De Toilette all with different scents. They aren’t the longest lasting of perfumes but only need one of two top ups’ during the day. The cashmere scent has a floral/sweet hint and now reminds me of my holidays in Florida (where I wore it everyday). If you are able to pick these up in the sale they are a great bargain! You can also pick up the full set for £20 for 6 Scents HERE!
Two Faced Natural Matte Eye Shadow Palette – With the upcoming arrival of the two-faced counter at Debenhams I thought it was only fair to share my only two faced product and one I have absolutely fallen in love with over the past couple of months. My mum had visited Sephora on a European trip earlier in the year and when she asked if I would like anything I jumped at the chance to pick up this Natural Matte palette without having to pay postage charges or customs. The packaging is absolutely beautiful and the size is perfect if I wanted to bring it on my travels or stash it in my handbag.
Along with a beautiful mirror on the inside this also came with a guide on 3 different eye shadow looks and how to apply them, which was just amazing for someone like me who doesn’t know where to start! The pigments and colours are smooth and apply super easily and don’t crumble or flake. The recommended colour pairings are absolutely perfect and make for very natural looking eye makeup.
TV & Movies:
Once Upon a Time – This TV Series is just my life at the moment. Disney, Fantasy and Fairy tales? Yes please! I fell in love with this show last year and has blasted my way through 5 Seasons worth of storylines, twists, turns, tears, joy and an immensely huge crush on Mr. Hook. With every single episode on Netflix, I can sit down, relax and escape to a magical world where I am constantly enamoured and amazed by what will happen next. Though slow and a little tedious to get into at the beginning, the arrival of the Storybrooke characters and who they really are constantly surprises me, even when I think I have it all figured out! I would highly recommend this TV Series, stick it out through the first couple of episodes and you may find yourself falling in love with it as much as I have.
Harry Potter – I will never ever grow out of Harry Potter, I will be the one reading it to my grandchildren, the one crying when he says “Always”. I have completely and utterly grown up with the books and the movies and even though I’ve read them about 10 times and watched the movies about 100 times I will never bore or tire of this magical world where I can lose myself for a couple of hours, just imagining and pining to be part of it all! The little ones I babysit turn 10 and 8 this year (growing up way too quickly) and on my last visit the eldest one had discovered the Harry Potter world and I was so excited! Dressing her up as Moaning Myrtle that night for a themed party my heart ached to read the books again. Even better is that ITV are running a Harry Potter Marathon at the moment! So, I can relive everything all over again.
Friday Feeling Jumper from H&M (£8) – Ugh this jumper! I spotted it in the window of H&M Forestside and absolutely fell in love with it. Searching through the store I was slightly disheartened to find it in the Junior Boys Section. However, this didn’t deter me! I am naturally quite petite and find that the larger sized children’s clothes will fit me more so than a small so I grabbed the largest one they had in stock (8-10 years old) and was pleasantly surprised to find that it fit! It’s a beautiful mustard colour with navy felt writing saying “Hands Up if you love Friday” and I absolutely adore it! It’s a soft material and is light enough that I could wear it through the colder days of Summer, through autumn and pair it up with a shirt underneath for Winter! At only £7.99 this was a bargain, and reminded me of why I love shopping in the kids section.
